I hope all of you had as fun-filled a weekend as I have. I’m currently on my second huge iced coffee of the day trying to fight off the fatigue setting in from all of the events of the past two days.
Saturday, we all ran the BC Race to Educate to support Robin’s school and had a total blast!
Per usual, once I started running the competitive side of me took over and I pushed myself a little harder than planned. I ended up as the 5th female finisher overall and 1st in my age group! Not too shabby!
After the race, I grabbed Lou Lou, my new puppy running buddy, and headed back to the apartment for the most amazing brunch!
It was sooo wonderful to hang out with everyone and catch up with friends I haven’t seen in a bit. I just love weekends that involve lots of quality friend time. And of course some relaxation with the pups.
Saturday night, a few of us heading to The Dugout to catch my friend Zach’s comedy show, The Mendoza Line. It was absolutely hilarious! I need to get out to see comedy more often. I am never disappointed!
Sunday started off with a 16 miler that put me at just under 50 miles for the week…my longest training week ever! I have some pretty big running plans that I will share this week, but hitting that mileage convinced me that my goals are within reach!
I also saw a pretty cute family of ducklings I have to stop and snap a photo of!
Have a great Sunday evening!
