I hope all of you had a great weekend. I was fortunate enough to have Friday off, so it felt especially long and relaxing. The weather wasn’t all that great over the weekend, so besides my two runs I was mostly spending time with family indoors…and eating some candy and other treats of course! Getting up today was definitely a little more challenging after the past few days of relaxing. Lola definitely had a case of the Mondays this morning…
On the running front, I made it through my 14 miler on Saturday. Not my best in terms of pace (my PR goal is a sub 1:37 half, but I am shooting to achieve this at my race in May), but just getting the miles in since my foot injury has felt pretty good.
It was pretty cool to see all of the people training for Boston in a few weeks out on their last long run. I am so excited to watch in a few weeks and picture myself out there in 2017!
The long run was followed by and incredible brunch cooked by Robin and my other ladies. So delicious!
And of course Lola wanted one of my peeps, but she had to settle on just her bone…
After brunch I headed home to spend the weekend with my family. We celebrated my godson Kevin’s second birthday and Easter the next morning. Before Easter mass I got in a quick job with a new jacket courtesy my amazing mom. And I also stumbled upon some turkey’s en route!
The Easter jog put me at just under 37 miles for the week, which is the most I have run since before Houston. This week is going to be a lighter workout plan with my half marathon coming up on Sunday. I am not planning to race this one all out, but hopefully keep a steady pace and enjoy some fun with my uncle and friends after the event.
What are your plans for the week?
